Christmas day this year doesn’t really feel like Christmas day. There doesn’t seem to be as much of a hype or buzz surrounding Christmas, perhaps except the reduction in VAT that sent shoppers sprawling into the open stores. Perhaps it doesn’t help that I had an old-man’s ramble about Christmas in my previous post, and the fact that I was stuck on SPSS all day (read my previous post) attempting to get this report done slowly but surely. But this year, there has been a real lack of buzz associated with Christmas Day.

Anything you wish to change about yourself in 2009?
With exactly 1 week of 2008 left to go, I still have my goals of finishing all work required by the end of the year… which is looking less promising with every word I type here. Still, with a new year ahead, resolutions are being written up and hopefully 2009 will be a refreshing start. I’ve got a few in mind… increase concentration, up the optimism a little more, be more of a “Yes Man” (loved that movie) and go back to getting things done quickly and efficiently (things have become slack as the year draws to a close). I shall resume seizing every day as it was my last, by achieving one goal no matter how big or small, so I can say that this day, and every day, had a reason to it. If you let too many go, then what was the use of getting up, wasting water, food, heat etc.
How was your Christmas Day, and what do you want to change in 2009?
